Advocating for society's most vulnerable

Inspired by the teachings of Jesus, the focus of this group is to promote and support causes that protect and serve the most vulnerable members of our society.

The cuts suggested by the current Republican Administration’s in the proposed budget will have negative consequences for all of us, but especially for the most vulnerable in our society: elderly, disabled, and economically disadvantaged. Medicaid provides many services in the State of WI. Below is a list of WI programs.

Please then scroll down to the bottom to find ways to contact your elected representatives.

Phone calls to field offices are best. Emails and letters often get ignored, but staff at the field offices note when someone calls and what they are concerned about.

Calling daily is suggested.

You can also become involved through non-violent protest actions. The following are planned to communicate to the moneyed interests that we are not okay with services to vulnerable populations being cut. To start there is are two days of “Economic Blackouts” planned. Please do everything you can to avoid spending money on February 28, 2025 and April 18, 2025. If you need to spend, please use independently owned small businesses.

THERE IS ALSO A PEACEFUL PROTEST MOVEMENT ORGANIZING PEACEFUL PROTEST EVENTS AND OTHER ECONOMIC PROTEST ACTIVITIES. PLEASE FIND THEM AT: www.fiftyfifty.one (website)
